I'm not sure if it helps in this specific case, but in general there is (additionally) the same version of OpenSSL for EL-5 available like EL-6 is shipping: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/openssl101e Anyway, thank you very much for the time and work to drive this major Nginx update!
