-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora EPEL Update Notification FEDORA-EPEL-2025-2601cdaa8f 2025-07-21 00:22:37.793819+00:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : etckeeper Product : Fedora EPEL 10.1 Version : 1.18.22 Release : 3.el10_1 URL : https://etckeeper.branchable.com/ Summary : Store /etc in a SCM system (git, mercurial, bzr or darcs) Description : The etckeeper program is a tool to let /etc be stored in a git, mercurial, bzr or darcs repository. It hooks into yum to automatically commit changes made to /etc during package upgrades. It tracks file metadata that version control systems do not normally support, but that is important for /etc, such as the permissions of /etc/shadow. It's quite modular and configurable, while also being simple to use if you understand the basics of working with version control. The default backend is git, if want to use a another backend please install the appropriate tool (mercurial, darcs or bzr). To start using the package please read /usr/share/doc/etckeeper/README. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Store /etc in a SCM system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Tue Jul 15 2025 Thomas Moschny <[email protected]> - 1.18.22-3 - Fix conditional. * Tue Jul 15 2025 Thomas Moschny <[email protected]> - 1.18.22-2 - Update action file to produce expected action output. * Mon Jul 14 2025 Thomas Moschny <[email protected]> - 1.18.22-1 - Update to 1.18.22. - Remove all EL7-related conditionals and parts. - Update for current Python packaging guidelines (rhbz#2377253). - Add support for DNF5 (rhbz#2326283). * Tue Jun 3 2025 Python Maint <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-6 - Rebuilt for Python 3.14 * Thu Jan 16 2025 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-5 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_42_Mass_Rebuild * Thu Jul 25 2024 Miroslav Suchý <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-4 - convert license to SPDX * Wed Jul 17 2024 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-3 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_41_Mass_Rebuild * Fri Jun 7 2024 Python Maint <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-2 - Rebuilt for Python 3.13 * Wed May 1 2024 Thomas Moschny <[email protected]> - 1.18.21-1 - Update to 1.18.21. - Add patch for rhbz#2203408 from pr#7. - Depend on python3-dnf, not dnf (pr#6). * Wed Jan 24 2024 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.18.20-5 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_40_Mass_Rebuild * Fri Jan 19 2024 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.18.20-4 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_40_Mass_Rebuild * Tue Jul 25 2023 Python Maint <[email protected]> - 1.18.20-3 - Rebuilt for Python 3.12 * Wed Jul 19 2023 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.18.20-2 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_39_Mass_Rebuild -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2323769 - Please branch and build etckeeper in epel10 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2323769 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs.
