Hello Everyone
Harmonious initiative really captures the intent of collaboration. Ok yes, it sounds like synergy but the terms "collaboration" and "synergy" have been so over used by everyone that most people are deaf to what these terms means. Introducing a new term like harmonious inititive may open up a few ears. Further, this is really not a new term, it's a practice from the USMC warfighting manual from 20 years ago. I know using military metaphors for businss is tricky but I think the intent behind the term "harmonious initiative" is one that we can really use in the business world. This is a term that is new to most people in the software (and business) world, and while we have to explain it, because it is new, and has a certain intuitive ring to it, people may be more open to listening to what our explanation is for it. best regards, Steve Adolph From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Per Kroll Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2008 9:23 PM To: Eclipse Process Framework Project Developers List Cc: 'Eclipse Process Framework Project Developers List'; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [epf-dev] Alternative for "whole team" Hi, the reason I suggested that we change to something different that Whole Team is that I always need to explain what the practice is about... I think that "Harmonious Initiative' will need no less explaining... I think that something like "Team Collaboration" would be more descriptive...
