Martin,

That could happen if you created diagrams by dragging-and-dropping tasks 
from the library view as opposed to dragging them from the configuration 
view. You may have dragged tasks that were not in the context of the 
configuration. If you then publish that configuration (that does not 
include the tasks you wanted to use in the first place), you may end up 
having empty diagrams.

Dear List,

I have a question concerning the publication, especially the activity 
diagrams. I found some diagram graphics in my process publications, which 
are just empty. Only the start- and end-points are visible, maybe some 
fork- or join-bars, but nothing else. Did I do something wrong or is this 
by malfunction?
