Yes. I've kept tabs on the pulse of Ubuntu *users* regarding the Epiphany vs FF issue over the last couple of years. The subject comes up periodically. (Gotta love the post about Mozilla's roadmap showing that FF4 would be based on WebKit. The tabloid press couldn't do any better than that!) I think that Ubuntu *maintainers* might be more receptive, however. Mozilla Corp does not exactly make it easy to maintain FF within a distro. From what I hear, its a serious PITA. Maintainers and devs would also be more able to see where Epiphany-Webkit could be a big win in the long run. I'd be inclined to skip brainstorm and email Mark directly on the matter. But I think that it would be best if it were a well thought out argument, with specific bullet points, written by someone more familiar with Epiphany development I am. It might be especially persuasive if there were an angle on it being a particularly good demonstration of Canonical contributing back to the community. That's bound to be an area they are concerned about with all the current Canonical-bashing that Greg K-H seems to have successfully stirred up. -Steve _______________________________________________ epiphany-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/epiphany-list
