Good day!
I have tried Epiphany 2.27 and one thing I noticed was that every time a link was clicked, the screen flashes by going white before the new page starts rendering. This is different from Gecko where page transition is transparent for areas which look the same on both pages. Doesn't WebKit have this? I'm also interested if the change to WebKit will give benefits like these: * Will it be possible to detach and move a tab from one window to another? Or just a new window holding only that tab? * Firefox offers a lot of privacy settings, for example regarding secure pages or which actions a script may use. Notably these: - intercept mouse right-click - move or change size of windows - change url, either directly or as a timeout refresh Only actions which are not related to user input are blocked. And they wouldn't have to be completely blocked, there can be an option where the browser prompts for what to do in each situation. Does WebKit support such privacy settings? * Will it be possible to save a document including all its content in one single file, like the WebArchive? * Full zoom of whole page, not just the text but also images and objects. * Will it be easier to activate/deactivate renderer plugins like Flash on runtime? With Gecko this was not possible. Thanks for info!
