Thank you for your response. Installing gstreamer1.0-gl fixed the issue and
YouTube videos can now be played. I'll pass that information along to the
Ubuntu Forums thread for other users.

Vimeo videos do not play, but the error message there indicates that this
is due to lack of H.264 support and the HTML5 test shows H.264 support
missing.
