Why modern? The Stern–Gerlach experiment was meant to test
the Bohr–Sommerfeld hypothesis.
Now, Bohr Model is prehistory.
It was succeeded by the Schroedinger function based QM, which
is history.
Modern quantum physics started with replacement of Schroedinger
function with relativity compatible Klein-Gordon and Dirac functions,
which quantize field, initiating the QFT and the Standard Model.
Nobody - else than in loony bins - talks any more about entanglement,
super-luminal speeds, collapses, object creation by observation,
many worlds and so on. Instead, QFT discovered hundreds of particles
and unified 3 of 4 known fields.
