Good question. I think religion can be discussed, but with limits. I'm very unbeliever. I'm a Physics student, but actually I didn't decide my way of thinking about how the universe has begun. I think it wasn't as it is referred in the bible. But your point is not a senseless point! If it was like this, this subject would be valid in scientific terms, that is, it would be possible to promote "peace" between science and religion for all, but not the same for many other subjects.
