hi, I have 2 PC's in a test rig. Both are running EDUBUNTU 12.04. There is no LTSP involved. Just a simple test with 2 standalone PC's. 1 client. 1 server. Boht PC's have been installed from the std EDUBUNTU distro 12.04 I have been able to ascertain that the "client" downloads the cert OK (ran epoptes-client -c as root. Got a "successfully fetched certificate from server:789" result) using PS axu|grep epoptes returns a PID against the user that is logging into the client that ID's epoptes. I can ping the server from the client and vica versa. I can telnet to the server from the client using 'telnet server 789' and a connection is opened. I can run epoptes from the command line and the 'client connecting to server:789....done.... >From this I am assuming the client is running OK. Whilst all this goodness is occuring, I am not having the same sucessess on the "server" side. I open the GUI (all good so far. group membership is working), login into the client. launch the client. Nothing. the "client" is not showing in the GUI. I have tried launching the client manulally and via the std startup application mechansim in Ubuntu which runs on lgin.
