All, We are currently defining an API for the creation of compression plugins in Equalizer. These plugins allow third-party developers to create run-time loadable binary plugins, which will be used initially for eq::Image and eq::net::Object data compression.
Since we can only extend the API afterwards, we have to get it right on the first shot. Please review the specification carefully, and send your feedback either to this list or to me directly.
