I deleted the stale projects yesterday morning. Viewcvs seems to be
running on a cache or backup machine because it was still showing the
projects several hours after they were deleted.

The optimizer tests are in a separate project because they are testing
non-production code, particularly the jbdiff/jardelta optimizers. Thus
they rely on bundles that are not in the SDK and not available on the test
machines. The UI tests are in a separate bundle because they depend on
the UI, and they require the UI test runner, their own separate test.xml,
etc. It was easier to structure the test scripts with them in a separate
bundle.

Re: [equinox-dev] p2 publisher tests?

Very weird. I just went to open a bug report about this and could not
find the folders in the repo anymore. Perhaps someone deleted them? Both
Chris and saw them yesterday... <insert twilight zone music here>

BTW, what is our policy on test bundles. The publisher tests were in a
bundle on their own then that was merged with the p2.tests. Looking at
the repo there are also some p2.tests.optimizers and p2.tests.ui. Should
these be merged as well?

For any projects that are dead and have never been included in an I-Build,
we should ask the web master to manually delete the directories for us.

Given that these tests were never included in the build in their old
location, should we just delete the now empty projects from the repo to
eliminate confusion and clutter?

[equinox-dev] p2 publisher tests?

Anyone know where they went after the move? This is what I found so far:

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.equinox/p2/bundles/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.publisher.tests/?root=RT_Project

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.equinox/p2/bundles/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.tests.publisher/?root=RT_Project

Both of those projects are empty in HEAD for me when checking out from
CVS.
