As BJ mentions we started the page
http://wiki.eclipse.org/RT/OSGi_Certification to track the RT OSGi
specification implementations, but it needs to be updated. Cristiano
mentions that it is hard to use subsystems with equinox. The more general
issue is it is hard to use any existing provisioning system that is not
subsystem aware with a framework that is being used to manage a set of
subsystem installations.

Hello Scott,

The implementation that I'm aware is the Apache Aries Subsystems
implementation [3].

But besides the fact that it is running in Equinox there are important
complementary spec features that wasn't implemented at Equinox yet that
makes difficult to use subsystems now with it.
The most important are the missing generic Capabilities header support in
P2 [1] (and PDE) and the impossibility to use P2 as a repository service

  Hi Folks,

First question:  Does Equinox Kepler implement the OSGI R5 Subsystem
  specification?

A broader question:   Does the RT project have a listing of the various
OSGi specs/chapters...and what implementations are provided by RT
projects for given specs?   ECF, for example, has impls of both the
Remote Service and Remote Service Admin specifications, but I'm not at
all sure about a number of others (e.g. transaction spec, provisioning,
subsystem, etc).  Would it make sense to have a RT page/pages that has
that information for interested consumers?  I've had several consumers
ask me directly about such information, and I'm probably not the only
  one.

  Thanks,

  Scott
