To clarify ... yes ... by "one more build left" I meant "one more RC left" (that is, RC4 is "final"). Scheduled I-builds will run tonight (Friday) through next Wednesday (June 4) with our final contribution due on the RC4 +0 day of Friday, June 6. http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/platform-releng/buildSchedule.html The rest of the train is due one week after that, June 13 ... and then "quiet time" begins, before official release on June 25.
I was Just (trying) to emphasize "little time left". And, I only do that, since it's a little confusing since "official simultaneous release" is not until June 25 ... I find is confusing anyway :) But we in "Platform" have a longer "quiet period" than other projects ... just to have some proper buffer in the plan (which is required, to coordinate 40+ projects). We are now at the point where "stability" is "prime directive" ... but clearly we want to avoid/fix bad regressions, fix up some docs, etc. I assume we have more than just one build, i.e. continuous I-builds. But I guess you just meant one final RC. Dani From: David M Williams <[email protected]> To: [email protected], [email protected] Date: 30.05.2014 17:14 Subject: [eclipse-dev] Eclipse 4.4 RC3 and Equinox (Luna RC3) are available Sent by: [email protected] I am pleased to announce our Luna RC3 build is available for download and ("near final") testing. Eclipse downloads: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.4RC3-201405282000/ Update existing (non-production) installs: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.4milestones/ Specific repository good for building against: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.4milestones/S-4.4RC3-201405282000/ Equinox specific downloads: http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/drops/S-LunaRC3-201405282000/ We appreciate any regressions the community of users and adopters can help us find, and much appreciate all the contributions received, and the hard work from all the committers. One, final build left! We are now at the point where "stability" is "prime directive" ... but clearly we want to avoid/fix bad regressions, fix up some docs, etc. As always, this announcement is for the Eclipse project only. The "stand alone" EPP packages for RC2 will be available later today from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index-developer.php and those for RC3 (built up on this announced version of Eclipse and Equinox) will be available one week from now. _______________________________________________ eclipse-dev mailing list [email protected] To change your delivery options, retrieve your password, or unsubscribe from this list, visit https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/eclipse-dev
