Ok, tests are disabled globally by default it seems: eclipse-platform-parent/pom.xml:
<skipTests>true</skipTests> However, I learned I can run them by performing the following incantation. mvn clean integration-test -DskipTests=false (scented candles + standing on one foot also helped!)
