Hi Lars, Activation of a bundle happens when the launcher calls Bundle.start(). You can certainly write a launcher that calls start() on many bundles concurrently from multiple threads.
Most existing launchers, including AFAICT the default Eclipse/Equinox launcher, call start() in series.
