Hi all, I have a fix for https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=563564 at https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/163724/ .
I think the issue is critical as this allows, in case of remediation, to install units that are not compatible with the current EE despite user setting claiming it checks current EE compatibility, and lead in the average case to some pieces of the IDE not working/some bundles not starting after restart. Other cases were properly covered by previous patches, but this failing case was discovered a few days ago and it took me longer than expected to (hopefully) properly reproduce, understand and fix this issue. That's why it only comes now for RC2 (I was hoping RC1 and failed...). Project Lead, can you please add a +1 on the bug if you agree it worth getting into RC2, and review the patch on Gerrit so we can merge it ASAP?
