This is regarding an issue as seen below when we try to load certain components
for base target where Eclipse 4.14 is used.
Installation failed.

The above issue occurs when eclipsec.exe is invoked with the following
arguments:
-application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director
-nosplash
-repository file:x/xx

-destination <intended_destination>
-bundlepool <our_bundle_pool>
-installIU @{xx_category}
-profileProperties org.eclipse.update.install.features=false
-p2.os win32
-p2.arch x86_64
I have gone through this issue in the bugs
494913<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=494913>,
539655<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=539655> and
538737<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=538737> out of which the
first two bugs are still open.
As you may have understood, we are facing the issue not when creating an RCP
product, but upon installation of certain components (eg. emf_compare) which
are dependent on the base platform
Since we require to migrate to Eclipse 4.14 for our developmental activities,
this is a major blocker.
Kindly advise on what can be done to resolve the problem on high priority as
this is affecting our developmental activities.
Also, please mention whether the issue is because of org.eclipse.equinox.ds
plugin and if so, what needs to be done.
Currently, we have included the plugin in our base platform due to certain
developers depending on it.
