Hi All I have no idea what Equis were thinking... Windows 8 was announced in late 2008. Maybe they didn't have enough time to accommodate Windows 8 and lock out local data.
Any users that are unhappy with the "downgrade" and Equis' future direction regarding data, could add their comments to the discussion below. It's a public forum so Equis should take more notice than posting to this group, the Equis forum or calling their service reps. Metastock 12 and MetaStock 12 Pro were not developed to run in Windows 8. Having said that, Metastock 12 has been running okay in our testing thus far.
