howzit doug? i haven't used databull but i've used mldownloader. it is very useful, can be setup to download intraday snapshots automatically, updates lists, sectors, etc.. 1 caveat and this isn't related to the tool but more the quality of yahoo data, it's not very good, certainly not for australian, uk, ireland. might be ok for us but you get what you pay for. this is fine if you're just starting to do initial investigation but if you're considering trading then the few $$$ for quality data is well worth the price because you'll get absolutely no support from yahoo. this probably explains why they're getting whipped by google.
