Problem solved. When batching multiple explorations the first screen to pop up 
has a tick box "Automatically print results". Removing the tick solved the 
problem. The first of two explorations didn't activate the printer  because no 
column was set up to report a result - only as the second scan started did the 
printer jump into action. I guess I got so used to skipping through that first 
multiple scan window that i never looked at the boxes.

On another matter, if your name is Brian Depew could you email me at 
[email protected] with a working email address so that I can deliver your 
recent purchase.

Since there's a fair chance that Brian won't read this, but you know him and 
could provide me with his current email address, could you please advise me via 
the email address just given.
