I don't know who has the best, but since I wanted to help support AOPA (who
I also used to help finance the plane -- MBNA), I just chose them by
default. I might have saved a few bucks by shopping around?

Aon Corporation (through AOPA Insurance Agency) $1059.00 for 12 months.

$19,5000 full flight and ground coverage with $100 deductible.
$1,000,000 liability incl passengers ($100,000 per passenger sub limit)

Two insured pilots...
Father / 55 yrs / SEL-Private / 250 hrs total / 0 in type
Me / 32 yrs / SEL-Private+Instrument / 150 hrs total / 0 in type

Had to get a checkout from CFI before coverage... took less than an hour.

You basically pay for whomever has the least time in type, training, and
total time... which in my case is my father. If I had insured only myself,
it would have been $1003.00 for 12 months. Since I wanted non-instrument
rated pilots (like my dad and my mechanic) to be able to fly the plane
insured, I had to include my dad.

It's that time of year again for us, time to ante up for
insurance. So here's the question for the group: who's got the best price?
