For the 415C, eight feet three inches outboard edge to outboard edge of the rudder.

Once the wing panels are removed, this is the widest point on the ship.  Although the MLG tread looks wider, its width center to center of each tire tread is eight feet, with the centerline of each wheel sitting outboard of the end of the center section wing attachment rib, so the end of each axle would protrude a few inches farther than the center section edge].

cf., Univair Aircraft Corporation, Ercoupe Service Manual:   Univair Corporation, 1 January 1959, page 8.

PS:  These widths lie just barely within the federal 8.5 foot width limit for unpermitted trailers.  So any original 415 may be trailered legally [wings off, of course] without permits anywhere in the continental United States.  Moreover the 6 foot three inch tail height added to a standard four-foot trailer bed height is well below the federal 13-foot height maximum.

What is the width of the tail assembly??

I do not have my books with me at work.
