Ah Richard,
In starting the T-6G, canopy open, man with fire extinguisher on the right,
elect switches on, engage starter, three blades, mag switches
on , prime , prime, prime; puff, puff, bang, bang, smoke and flames
bellowing out of the exhaust and into the cockpit..( fireman watching for fire
in the cockpit more so than in the engine), and finally the engine smooths
out and runs evenly....
Then one goes flying behind a real engine.... :) almost
as good as a C-85 ! :)
