OK, I'm jumping the gun, but by the end of July I WILL have my license. I remember a thread a while back about Ercoupe owners who also play a little bluegrass, and thought it would be fun to have a fly-in jam session sometime at the end of July, or maybe later in the summer/fall. I would be happy to make all the arrangements, including a place to pick and some food, etc., if we can figure out a good central place for doing this. I'm near St. Louis, but I'm willing to go to most locations in the central part of the lower 48 - I would even travel east, but I'm really not ready for mountain flying. So, anyone interested in flying somewhere to play some music, send me an email. Tell me where you are and give me any suggestions for a location to fly to, I'm open! Beaumont, Kansas, comes to mind just because of its uniqueness, but I've actually never been there. In fact, I haven't been to very many airports outside Missouri. Once I have my ticket, I plan to change that! BTW, I'm a 5-string banjo player, and I can do backup guitar. Of course interested non-players are invited - should be quite a spectacle.
