Tim; The STC to put an O-200 into an Ercoupe will specify a specific prop or props. When I used the Skyport STC to put an O-200 into N 99387, the STC called out a McCauley 69 X 48 but in the write up spelled out that the engine would tend to overspeed using a 69 X 48 and recommended a 69 X 50. I was able to obtain a McCauley 69 X 50 prop and get the 337 signed off using it. On a hot day, the engine would still overspeed in level flight, but when I loaded the Coupe down (probably with more than 1400 lb.) I was able to keep the Rpm under control and reach altitudes as high as 14,500.
