I ones sent a Coupe in a 20ft Container to Germany. It  fits just barely.
We had to take the spinner off and also the tail feathers and take the tail apart as well to fit it.
But for 1000 miles I think a suitable trailer would do the job - just pad everything . You might want to wrap the whole fuselage to be on the safe side.
Best way of course is to fly it home.

Subject: [COUPERS-FLYIN] I desperately need to Know Required Trailer box size required to haul a coupe

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----

Hi,
Just looking for the minimum height, width, and length of a box to carry a coupe.  If I am lucky (prepurchase inspection goes well and it is not sold before I get there "again") I will need to transport a coupe 1,000 miles.  I would prefer to haul it in an enclosed structure to protect it from stones and other road debris.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again
