Hi Dan,
Yes, we had a great time flying in to Oshkosh this year, and I'm sorry that you missed it.  I'll write up an article for Coupe Capers about it so everyone can see the fun we had.

Hi Syd,
I missed flying into OSH this year with you.  I did make it up to Arlington for the first time.

It's interesting & surprising to see another Ercoupe painted like mine.   The judges and antique purests probably don't think much of the paint, but the paint scheme sure looks good on the Ercoupe and it get it's share of attention.    My Ercoupe was already so modfied that it didn't seem to make any sense to try going back.

Thank you & the other Ercoupers let me put 68H in front of the Red Barn in '03.  It's one very modern looking antique airplane (thanks in large part to Fred's vision being so far ahead of his time).

Hope to se you again at OSH in 06 or 07.

Sincerely,
Dan Hall

Hi Dan,
That's Dennis Spiegel's Coupe, and, yes, he did pattern his paint job after yours.  He was very impressed with how your's looked.

Sid,
That Ercoupe in the foreground with the new paint looks a LOT like the new paint on my 68H from 2003.    I'm flattered!   (even if he didn't win either)     ;-)

Congratulations to Dale Buttermore from Grand Rapids, Michigan for getting the Outstanding Ercoupe Award at Oshkosh for his 415-CD, N127G.  Way to go, Dale.  (See photo attached.  Dale's is the second plane shown in the photo, right after Dennis Spiegel's.)
