First off, I absolutely love my airplane. When I bought it, I had planned on converting to a D model. I may still do that, but am having heartburn with it since it would essentially be removing a potential LSA candidate. I think I may sell it, and buy a D instead of making that swap. If anyone knows that someone is looking for a REALLY NICE C model, give them my address. 1700TT, 150SMOH C85 painted to match the airplane, no pedals, bubble windshield, handheld comm, AT50A, rag wing, extended baggage, large back windows, just annualled with wings removed. 6 year full restoration, as a car guy would call "frame off", restoration is photo documented. In wing landing light, dual nose fork. New stitts fabric. Logs back to it's birthday. I know, there's NO REASON to sell this airplane, other than I'm the same guy who REFUSES to help a friend put a new cobra engine in his 57 Tbird just on principle, I'm starting to feel the same way about this C-D conversion. (Yeah, he's pissed, but I feel good about it) No hurry, just a thought. I could always fly it over gross...
