I do NOT believe the glide ratio (at best glide speed somewhere near 75 mph) is ANYWHERE near 6:1. Im betting 9:1 or 10:1.
This is based on actual testing at every 5 mph increment from minimum flying speed to about 85 mph. I had a bad airspeed indicator so my initial forward feet per second calculations werent valid. But even with adjusting for the known error, it was no where near 6:1.
Ill grant that at minimum flying speed it is close to 6:1.

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----The published Glide Ratio for an M-10 is 6:1. Harry
thanks for taking the time Harry.6:1 is not bad considering that a C150 glides 15miles from 10k agl; thats a
7.9:1 ratio. not bad for the ercoupe, considering is it wasn't designed to be a trainer. so why do coupers say it sinks like a rock? is this unwarrented?
