Coupes, two years ago I contacted BRS about a chute for Ercoupes and they showed
no interest , despite the fact that we have around 3000 Coupes still flying. In
the meantime they brought them out for the C-150s 152 and 172. They have chutes
for the majority of ultralight aircraft as well as sport aircraft. I really
believe if the cost were not to high they would have more people buying them for
the Coupes than the Cessna's. There are rumors other people may soon enter this
field, and if so we should encourage them to design a unit for the
Coupes. Impact with the Chute is equal to a six to eight foot drop and one
could still be hurt depending on what you landed on, but it would be better than
hitting rocks or trees at 55mph. Fred C Fowler.
