That's good info.  I don't know about what options were available regarding the previous AD, this is my first plane and I've only had it about 1 1/2 yrs. so I don't have alot of historical knowledge on the subject.  

 

I'll bet Ed Burkhead knows something about this.

 

Ed, do you know if there was variations on the approved methods of complying with the Swiss Cheese AD?

Hi Mitch, my research has revealed that if we did the Swiss cheeze mod, and put 16 holes under each wing, then we don't have a thing to be concerned about. For some reason it appears the FAA has reason to believe that not everyone did the Swiss cheeze mod in full. I did not own a Coupe back then, were there other options( besides the 16 holes) when this mod was put out as an AD? Pete

I have just posted the docs to http://www.ercoupe.org/faa.htm , this is the
summary section of the Airworthiness Concern Sheet, the complete ACS doc can
be downloaded in rtf format from the link at the bottom of the page as well
and the Rev C draft.
