Dave; I think the reason Dawley does not work on Ercoupe pipes anymore is that they rebuilt a muffler for someone in Iowa without putting the bellows shape on the end. It only lasted about 3 hours before it cracked. It was sent back and repaired, and promptly broke on the first flight. Obviously there is a reason for the bellows shape on each end!
