Kathy, I'm don't quite qualify as "west", being from Missouri, but I'm flying my Alon to Daytona Beach. Andy Anderson is flying his coupe from Harrison, Arkansas. We plan to leave on June 18 at the crack of dawn and met up in Covington, Tennessee (M04) for fuel. Have you been to the Nationals before? I always enjoy seeing the coupes together. Probably the best thing is keeping in touch with other coupe owners that you have met at fly-ins or past Nationals. If this is your first Nationals, it will be worthwhile, even if you go commercial. Flights to Orlando are not too expensive, and renting a car and driving to Daytona Beach is pretty easy-it's only about 50 miles I think. If you, or anyone else on the net, are flying their Coupe to the Nationals and are able to meet up with Andy and I, let me know. Everyone monitors 122.75 off and on listening to others going the same direction-don't hesitate to call out if you hear chatter about the Nationals on the radio.
