To reach a number of youngsters on First Flight Day, one might get in
touch with a teacher and present a brief (15-20 minute) program and
question and answer session about aviation.

Howdy,

I totally agree with Syd. We should all fly on First
Flight Day if at all possible.

For those of us that are just too strapped for money
to be able to fly, we can still do something avaition
related. I know I intend to.

I don't know what all has been going on in other parts
of the country related to First Flight Day, but in our
corner of northern CA, hardly anything has been going
on.

I have been disappointed with PBS also. I usually
like much of their programming, but I am surprised
that they haven't done more on aviation this year.
Yes they have done a few shows, but in my opinion not
enough.

I am somewhat disappointed with the US Post Office. I
think they should have published a whole set of stamps
on avaiton this year, instead of just the one on the
Wrights. The Wrights' stamp is attractive, but it's
not even a 4 color process stamp. (I have many years
in the printing industry, so of course I notice such
things.)
Doesn't one of the most important events in human
history and achievement at least rate a 4-color stamp?
I would hope so.

Well, I know I'm going to make the most of that day,
even though it's a work day for me.

Cheers,
Spook
