Thanks to all for the overwhelming response and offers to experience an Ercoupe. I'm in the San Francisco bay area (near PAO and SQL, but others are fine too); I'll be in Dallas for much of the winter break, so a flight there could be doable as well. If anyone would be kind enough to fly with a ~200 lb nice guy :-), I'd be very appreciative. Also, how capable and IFR platform is an Ercoupe? I don't need much, but in the SF bay area it's not uncommon to have to punch through a relatively calm layer of marine stratus.
