Earl, I used acid etch applied with a maroon Scotchbrite pad, rinsed
with water, dried with compressed air, followed with Alodyne applied
with a stiff brush, washed with water, dried with compressed air,
followed by epoxy primer or zinc chromate. Epoxy primer is better but
heavier. These items are all available at Aircraft Spruce and other
aviation suppliers.
