I bought my Coupe via Barnstormers. Really pleased with the process.
It is a great site.

Suggest you revisit the ebay idea. The least of your worries is an
ignorant
buyer. All money is green and if you get paid, it's no longer your
problem.
>From talking to ebay Coupe sellers, apparently the big hassle is simply
not
getting paid at all. A lot of these buyers just wanted to "own" an
airplane
for a couple of days.

The serious ones know the risks of buying without a lien check and a
pre-buy, but frequently they'll lowball you just to see if they can get
a
bargain so cheap that they can afford to throw money at it to fix it.
THESE
are the people you want to keep in contact with, because with a lien
check
and pre-buy, they might end up near your selling price. You won't sell
to
them during the auction itself because they'll be well under your
reserve,
but you can contact them later on down the road. Is this illegal?
Well,
it's against ebay policy but who cares about that?

If you don't want to fall afoul of the dreaded Auction Police,
Barnstormers.com might be a place to advertise. Don't know what they
charge,
but the Coupes there seem to turn over pretty fast.

Good luck.
