What would be great would be to invite her(Judy something who writes an aviation column in the Ocala Star-Banner every Monday ) to go up flying in an Ercoupe and the other types of planes in the Couper Community, so she can then write and speak knowledgeably about how much fun they are - and this would also help to promote LSA aviation in the Ocala area, which is filled with retiring baby-boomers and other retirees who would probably be very interested in owning and flying classic LSA aircraft.

Superlative idea, Susan. The Entire GA Community and us Ercoupe Fanciers have Got to blow our own horn. ROW has the same problem with the local politicos.
Thanks, Percy. I think this is actually something the Coupers can do all over the country, each working in his/her own region. Just organize some nice relaxed fly-ins, perhaps in conjunction with EAA Young Eagle flights, and try to get as a newspaper or radio or TV reporter and/or weatherperson (and their bosses) up in the planes every time you have one.
The more you can get the news media personally interested and enthusiastic, the more likely you are to gain favorable coverage of local events as even just a friendly mention at the end of the news or the weather ("the Wisconsin Ercoupe Group is having a friendly fly-in Saturday at ___ airport in ____ and will be taking up kids who've never been in an airplane before as part of their participation in the EAA's Young Eagles program - the weather will be perfect and those Ercoupes are sooo much fun to fly in that folks should head out there just to see them and participate in the fun" or something to that effect)
Just a suggestion y'all might want to think about exploring in your areas ...
