I put up a photo I took from my airplane that (to this day) has given me the biggest pucker factor. I was sitting in my non-tied-down 'Coupe while taking the photos. Go to: http://www.ercoupe.us/Default.aspx?tabid=73&mid=394&GalleryID=4 It is the 7th picture in the series. (You'll see a hangar in the center of the photograph). Clicking on the picture, then click on the picture again (in the pop-up) for a really hi-res and big image of it. I lucked out and didn't get any damage to my plane (plenty of hail, but none big enough to hurt the plane). For a few minutes, winds were recorded at over 60 mph with gusts to 75 mph. I joked with the FSS that since I actually moved, I should have counted it towards flight time... Perhaps glider time... Heh heh. I was on the "T" mark perfectly before the storm. Image #16 shows that I moved about 4 inches to the side. Needless to say, I now always carry tie downs with me. ------------------------------------------------------------ Jason J.
