I think that when an Ercoupe driver like Susan tries in good faith to help this Ercoupe community, it would behoove us to greet that help gracefully and with good humor. I note particularly that she is a new contributor. On the other hand, I am not. I've said my piece on this forum in the past, and not infrequently taken some lumps for my views. But I say to all of you people right now, I'm ashamed of this group for treating a new member so. Susan, on behalf of the people on this forum who still understand how to extend friendship to a new member, I bid you welcome. Since my name is connected with this group, then I share a measure of responsibility for what these folks say and what they do, and I hereby offer you my personal apology for their bad manners. I'm nobody in particular on this forum, so I can't promise it won't happen again, but if it does, I invite anyone who doesn't like your participation to direct the same bile against me as they do toward you, because I appreciate your presence here and if they want to come at me, then I welcome it.
