I was referring to those folks who would take up almost everything they
could for free or next to nothing, wait a while then sell the stuff on Ebay.
I probably am mistaken, having the impression that the depot was for
emergency parts or to help each other out in a jam.
I'll have something up and running soon, I promise. Yes, I'll have a Paypal
Donation box so that if anyone finds it useful, they can give anything they
want toward the cost of maintaining it. If "ercoupe.org" is the site of the
type club, then it must have an attached fee to use it. That's the only way
to keep it afloat without taking from other resources.

This was in response to my asking for computer talent to volunteer to make
up a parts data base for ercoupe.org so we could have a neat vehicle for
parts exchange among members. In Al's second paragraph he opens the
Pandora's box of cheaters. Lets use PayPal, then, as they are essentially
an insurer of internet sales.

I'm trying to put together something like you can see at
http://www.beechcraft.org/vtail/swapbook.html . The owner is a computer
person and it's easy for him to get it done by using his own talent and
money. I can handle to page costs, but I absolutely refuse to learn this
new fangled computer skill thang! It's coming along and I didn't want to
make any promises. As you can see it's far better than the one currently
offered. There is an associated web page with it that would also be real
nice to eventually get going, although doing it my way will be the
reverse of how this one was set up.
I know it's not a parts depot or exchange, but my personal jury is out on
that because someone will be unscrupulous enough to try to make a buck on
their neighbor's generosity. Heck, it happening now!
