We received an interesting Ercoupe news alert today. Seems that in or near
Lafayette, IN 50 years ago 3 people will killed in the crash of a coupe.

"One of Lafayette's worst airplane crashes took place on July 21, 1957. A
two-passenger Ercoupe struck a utility pole cross-arm while landing on
Gordon Hilt's farm near Shadeland. The tragedy killed pilot Frank Granger,
41, and passengers Elizabeth Hilt, 41, and her son, Larry, 13."
