Texas ercoupers monthly Sunday Brunch fly-in. Our first ever 2007 Sunday Brunch fly in will be held next SUNDAY January 28th at Lockhart airport, TX. Lockhart is spitting distance from Austin, Near to San Antonio, not too far from Houston and Waco, a little ways from Dallas and anyone further away will be welcomed with the usual question " And how long did it take you to get here?" Arrival is around 11 am and shuttle vehicles will be taking arriving pilots to the Chisholm Trail BBQ restaurant where they will be making Barbecue on Sunday by request of the local aviators. Lockhart is the barbecue capital of Texas and the rest of the galaxy. On a good day you can smell the aroma of the barbecue blown in from town by the North wind. On a bad day, the wind is from the South and you can smell the stockyards. Either way, you smell barbecue in the making. When you land pull up to the North side parking area where you can find the Plane Talk Hangar which is the meeting point for the event. Lockahrt has a long paved runway, fuel, restrooms, plenty of parking space, mechanics and lots of good people.
