I was at the AOPA convention in Hartford. Garmin was displaying a new
service for cell phones for pilots. Its quick and easy to use. My buddy and I
have played with it over the last month. Works great. They charge by the month
($10). It downloads everything so quickly that you only burn a couple of
minutes of your monthly minutes. You can subscribe and unsubscribe on a monthly
basis. And no, I'm not a salesman for them, I just like the service!

Has anyone had experience with getting real-time graphic weather
updates on internet capable phones, such as Apple's new iPhone? Being able to
"see" (and avoid) storm cells on your flight path would be great for cross
country flights.
