Earl::

Having done this particular trip in an Aircoupe, I can recommend the DVD's from
Sporty's on flying to Alaska, also a few web searches using "Flying to Alaska"
will initiate some ideas.

I recommend. Fly North to Great Falls, MT then cross the Canadian border to
Lethbridge, go through Canadian Customs, then on through Edmonton, Whitecourt,
to Dawson Creek where you will pick of the Alaskan hiway, on to Fort Nelson,
Watson Lake, Whitehorse, and Northway, where you will go through U.S. Customs
then on to either Fairbanks or Anchorage.

There are customs idiosyncrasies, private air traffic, different Sectionals,
and literature that must be in the aircraft, plus a survival kit to keep you
and your passenger alive for two weeks.

It's a real hoot, an adventure you will never forget, and no amount of
preparation will cover every situation you will find yourself in. So be
prepared, and start asking questions now.

Good luck

if a person was interested in flying to
Alaska. would anyone out there have some
interesting sites to check out or recommend
DVDs that would have points of interest and
tips on what to do and not to do on a Alaska
  adventure in a Ercoupe.
