Ed I removed the conventional vacuum driven Artificial Horizon and installed an electric gyro. I don't have a Direction Gyro. Don't feel I need one for the type of flying I do in the Coupe and I can use the six-pack or the HIS page on my Garmin 496 for that purpose, in necessary.

Do you have a vacuum pump or are you using solid-state "gyros"? Actually, it may way weigh less as I removed some heavy flight instruments as well as the venturis and all related hardware. Keep your fingers crossed.
