Hi Gene:
When you get the information all put together, would you please post it to
the website so that the rest of us could make use of it to educate the "great
unwashed masses" when we display our Coupes.
    Thanks; Maynard Smith, 99843, Colfax,CA.

Subject: [ercoupe-flyin] Needed: Info for information poster for Airshow

I'm putting the Rebel Belle, N94780 1948-E on static display at the
Wings Over Miami airshow, www.wingsovermiami.com or
  http://www.airshowscalendar.com/event_detail.cfm?
  i=1309&e=5466&m=3&y=2008&s=&p=
this weekend. Most of the planes in
this show are WWII vintage and I was trying to put together an
information sheet on how the Ercoupe related to that era. Info such
as the JATO program and also drone work as well as any other
historical data will be put on a poster for the general public to
see. I could use some suggestions as well as any help in actual
wording as I'm going to be spending the rest of the week polishing
and otherwise cleaning up the lady for her debut! I've been
restoring the Rebel Belle for going on 4 years now and this is going
to be her first public unveiling. Still need to rejuvenate and clean
up the upper surface of the wings but that will be complete before
  Sun-N-Fun.
Anyway, like I said any info that the public would enjoy learning
about the 'Coupe is fair game. I'll probably start cutting and
pasting tomorrow night when it's too late to make noise in the
hangar. Next day take it to Office Depot or someone to make something
poster sized by Friday. Ya'll probably know the kind of info that
the public would be interested in; the things like able to fly wide
open with canopy open, economical, forward thinking engineering,
crosswind abilities, etc. I'm just looking for short word bites to
get the points across to the average airshow attendee who doesn't
  know what's an Ercoupe.
Thanks for any help and advice,
  Gene Jones
