Attention, Ercoupers in the area of Arkansas and Missouri... Two events are being planned for 2009 that will offer you a destination that will be fun and relaxing!
May 15-17, 2009 - The first Winter Bustin' Ercoupe gathering in Mountain View, Arkansas (7M2). Things will be in full swing at the town square, with music and food late into the nights, plus the opportunities to shop in antique stores and see other natural wonders. There are also music shows, and other entertaining places. Go to www.ozarkgetaways.com to see more about Mountain View. I am not organizing this too tightly, but promise to provide transportation for all those who show up, so plan on being able to get where you need to go. If you have questions, just shoot me an email. Also, there will be a pilots' breakfast at the airport on Saturday morning, sponsored by the local pilots. October 23-25, 2009 - The second South Midwest Fly-In, this time in Branson, Missouri. Andy Anderson has done a terrific job of finding some of the neatest places. Also, there will be a private tour of a local aircraft collection and trip to the Branson Landing. We will be staying at the College of the Ozarks, which has a beautiful lodge and restaurant, plus some museums and local business, like a gristmill. I know this is early, but if you're like me, you like to prepare for and get excited about fun excursions in the 'Coupe. Now let's pray for good weather and start dreaming. It's nice to be doing this here, with snow and cold outside! Larry Snyder Washington, MO
