I don't know of a book about Flying to Alaska in a 'Coupe, but Steve Lewis
has a website that chronicles his flight to Alaska, you can read his
"Memoirs of a Shrub Pilot" at
http://www.lordjoe.com/Coupers/ShrubPilot.html

If not Alaska, how 'bout the Mojave Desert in an Ercoupe......

"Adventures of a Desert Bush Pilot" by Sylvia Winslow.

Last week I found a very clean copy of Sylvia Winslow's memoir of her time
exploring the Mojave fifity years ago with her husband Slim in a 1946 415
C...

I read the book this weekend and enjoyed it. I have never seen it in any of
the Ercoupe "reading lists" that are shared here.

Did/does anyone know the Winslows? The airplane, 94373, is currently
registered to an owner east of Temecula, CA in Aguanga.

Best,
John
